About the organization

The 7th District Congressional Republican Committee is an active and effective political party committee based in Southwest Missouri.  The impact of the 7th District on Missouri and national politics has increased over the last 10 years.  Comprised of 10 counties, the 7th District has 21 State House seats and five State Senate seats.  The Committee was politically and financially active in 50 races in the 7th district during the 2006 election cycle.  The 7th District has a full time executive director experienced with running successful campaigns.

  • The 7th District is the largest block of Republican votes for any statewide candidate during the last election cycle.  Below are a few statistics from the 2006 election.
  • 68,499 Doors knocked in 72 Hour Program.
  • 164,344 Live Calls made during 72 Hour Program.
  • 1,800 3 hour volunteer shifts filled during 72 Hour program.
  • 53,552 Vote Margin for Jim Talent over Claire McCaskill.
  • Jim Talent won every county.  The 7th District is the only Congressional District in which he achieved this.
  • Republican State Auditor Candidate Sandra Thomas received 40,989 more votes than her opponent, winning every county in the 7th. The only congressional district to do so.
  • Congressman Roy Blunt increased his vote by 11,392 compared with the last mid-term election in 2002.
  • The 7th District was actively involved in 50 Local, state, and federal races.

The upcoming 2008 election will be one of the toughest in modern years.  The 7th District will be looked upon to perform at or above the capacity it has achieved in recent elections.  In 2008, Missouri 7th District voters will vote to elect the President of The United States, Governor of Missouri, four statewide offices, a congressman, 21 state representatives, one State Senator, and more than 50 county officials.

Gifts to the 7th District Congressional Republican Committee have changed the face of government in Missouri and in the nation.  Successful results came because people have recognized the need and placed time and financial support at the disposal of the 7th District Congressional Republican Committee.  Together we have made a sweeping impact on the political face of the state and the nation over the past several election cycles.  We expect to achieve the same result in 2008.
